About the training provider
The Sparkle Teaching Alliance is a fantastic place in which to train to become a qualified teacher. We have worked with students since 2015 with 100% of our trainees being employed within the alliance and local schools.
We pride ourselves on our high levels of training and the support we are able to provide through our mentorship system. Resource wise we have a dedicated training room with computer facilities, a dance studio, cookery area, library and modern staff room.
We are offering training placements starting in September 2019 through the School Direct Programme in collaboration with The University Of Chichester.
Most of your development will be in school where the skills, knowledge and understanding to become a teacher will be a focus of your individual action plan.
As you pass through the training year your teaching load will gradually build up and you will undertake a second school placement to broaden experience.
If you are looking for on-the-job training where you are immersed from day one in school then working within The Sparkle Alliance is for you.
A question we are often asked is 'Why Sparkle?' Our vision is for all children to:
- Pay Attention
- Ask Questions
- React Positively
- Keep Trying
- Love Learning
- Enjoy School
We would encourage these values in our trainees and staff too.
For further information please explore our website or pay us a visit. Tours available most days!
About the accredited provider
We have worked alongside The University Of Chichester every since the inception of School Direct and are very proud of our relationship with them.
They provide tutor support for trainees for the entirety of the year. These tutors will visit to observe teaching, provide feedback and in collaboration with the school conduct half termly reviews.
Some training will take place in block periods within the University.
Training with disabilities and other needs
As an employer we recognise the need to ensure that we eliminate discrimination and harassment in our employment practice and actively promote equality across all groups within our workforce.
Equality aspects such as gender, race, disability, sexual orientation, gender re-assignment and faith or religion are considered when appointing staff to ensure decisions are free of discrimination.
As an employee we ensure access for all candidates with disabilites. We ensure that the environment within the alliance is monitored so that all adults, including those with disabilities and needs, can take advantage of our facilities and services.
