We pride ourselves as being the primary specialists in Barnsley!

We were founded by two Outstanding primary schools – High View Primary Learning Centre and Hoyland Common Primary School. We provide professional personalised Initial Teacher Training. It is our aim to train the next generation of outstanding teachers in South Yorkshire!

We work in partnership with Sheffield Hallam to deliver the Schools Direct route into teaching (3-7 and 5-11 age ranges). On successful completion of the course you would be awarded QTS, PGCE, comprising 60 credits at Master Level 6.

Students are placed in two highly performing Barnsley primary schools, mentored by good and outstanding teachers, experiencing all aspects of school life which is invaluable when applying for future teaching positions.

We facilitate a schedule of Network Meetings, creating opportunities for students to visit a wide variety of primary schools, sharing good practice ideas and fostering a supportive environment amongst the cohort.

We plan Enrichment Training sessions delivered by Specialist Leaders of Education to ensure our students are fully equipped to enter the teaching profession. These cover topics that are most relevant to the current climate and the needs of the local region. We work with small cohorts and so our training is tailored to meet the needs of individual students.
