About the course
For detailed information about this course, please contact (email@example.com)
You will be asked to attend the school in which you plan to train for interview/assessment. The process takes a couple of hours and includes a 30 minute literacy/numeracy task; 20-25 minute "micro-lesson" and formal interview. For the micro-lesson you will be given a week's notice to prepare a short lesson on a given topic. The purpose of the micro-lesson is to see how you interact with students. The formal interview will be with a member of the Teaching School team, usually one of the Co-heads, and the Head of Department for whatever subject you are interested in teaching.
We will inform you of the outcome of your interview within 24 hours.
How school placements work
Trainees spend 4 days a week in school and 1 day at The University of Warwick.
You will spend 1 week in a primary school setting and a half-term (usually in the Spring Term) in an alternative secondary setting.
We have 6 secondary schools and 4 primary schools within our Alliance and your placement will be in one of our own partner schools. For information regarding our partners, please visit our website - https://sites.google.com/arden.solihull.sch.uk/ardenalliance/apply/interview-process?authuser=0
