MSTSA is a unique Alliance of 4 'Outstanding' special schools. With MSTSA you would have the opportunity to develop your SEND skills alongside outstanding practitioners.
You will have access to a range of settings, in both mainstream and special schools.
Training with us includes opportunities to develop skills, knowledge and understanding of SEND that would enable you to effectively support pupils with a range of additional needs. We offer dedicated enhancement training days over the period of the course which include:
*Assessments & Planning
*Introduction to working with Pupils with ASD
*Teaching Pupils with Sensory Impairments
*Introduction to working with pupils with Specific Learning Difficulties
*Positive Handling Team Teach
*The Effective use of Assessment for Learning Strategies in Primary Schools
*Effective Deployment of Teaching Assistants
*Engaging with other agencies
*Effective time management and effective job applications

Training with disabilities and other needs
Successful applicants will discuss individual requirements with Mentors any additional support required i.e: placements would be chosen with accessibility in mind.
Placements and Academic work will be discussed on individual basis.
