About the accredited body
The Institute of Education at The University of Reading has been in the top 10 for over a decade in the UK for Education (The Guardian University League Table 2019.)
One of our strengths, as recognised by Ofsted, is the high quality of support we provide to schools and Reading Partnership Teachers (RPTs) on placement.
Many of our RPTs go on to secure jobs in their placement schools, so active engagement with the IoE partnership in training new teachers is an excellent way to recruit NQTs to your school.
Training with disabilities and other needs
Maiden Erlegh School is proud to be a comprehensive school. Our ethos is “opportunity, diversity and success for all” and we are ambitious for all our students, both academically and in terms of their personal development.
There are many strands to our inclusion work, whether it be providing for students with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities, supporting disadvantaged students or those with medical needs, helping individual through periods of personal difficulty or working with others to improve their attendance.
