How school placements work
You will have two contrasting school placements.
Fees and salaries will be published in Oct 2018.
Financial support isn’t available for this course because it comes with a salary.
If you choose a course without a salary, you may be eligible for financial support while you study, including bursaries, scholarships and loans.
You should be a graduate, with a degree from a UK Higher Education Institution or equivalent qualification. This should be a 2:2 or above (In exceptional circumstances we may consider below a 2:2). It is beneficial to have a degree in the subject that you wish to teach, or at least a strong A level.
You must also possess a standard equivalent to a grade C in the GCSE examinations in English Language and Mathematics.

You will be treated as a paid member of the school staff and as such will be expected to take on some of your own classes and additional duties such as a tutor group.

Ashlawn Teaching School (Innovation Learning and Leadership Alliance) is a partnership of schools in Rugby, Warwickshire, and Leicestershire. Together we seek to provide teacher training opportunities based in local schools with a common core of development opportunities focussed on the wider educational community. About the accredited body
Ofsted has rated Warwick Uni an "Outstanding" provider of teacher training. They have been training teachers for over 50 years and part of the Russell Group, whose members represent outstanding teaching and learning experience.
Upon completing this course you gain 90 credits at master's level for our MA in Professional Education. This allows you to fast-track to stage two of a master's degree, quickly progressing your professional development.
