How school placements work
You will have two contrasting school placements.
The course fees for 2019/2020 are as follows:
Fees are based on 2018/19 rates and are possibly subject to change for 2019/20.
You could be eligible for either:
- a scholarship of £28,000
- a bursary of £26,000
To qualify for a scholarship you’ll need a degree of 2:1 or above in Chemistry or a related subject. For a bursary you’ll need a 2:2 or above in any subject.
You can’t claim both a bursary and a scholarship - you can only claim one.

You should be a graduate, with a degree from a UK Higher Education Institution or equivalent qualification. This should be a 2:2 or above (In exceptional circumstances we may consider below a 2:2). It is beneficial to have a degree in the subject that you wish to teach, or at least a strong A level.
You must also possess a standard equivalent to a grade C in the GCSE examinations in English Language and Mathematics.

Ashlawn Teaching School (Innovation Learning and Leadership Alliance) is a partnership of schools in Rugby, Warwickshire, and Leicestershire. Together we seek to provide teacher training opportunities based in local schools with a common core of development opportunities focussed on the wider educational community. We create personalised training programmes with a breadth of experience and outstanding support to develop balanced well-rounded teaching professionals. About the accredited body
Ofsted has rated Warwick Uni an "Outstanding" provider of teacher training. They have been training teachers for over 50 years and part of the Russell Group, whose members represent outstanding teaching and learning experience.
Upon completing this course you gain 90 credits at master's level for our MA in Professional Education. This allows you to fast-track to stage two of a master's degree, quickly progressing your professional development.
