A postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE) with qualified teacher status (QTS) allows you to teach in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It’s also recognised internationally.

Many PGCE courses include credits that count toward a Master’s degree.

How school placements work

You will be based at Thomas Hardye School as your main school, with a 6 week placement at another local school offering years 7 and 8 - this could be one of our feeder middle schools.

We work closely with candidates to try to minimize travel from home to second placement.

Salary

unqualified teacher scale, dependent upon previous experience.

Financial support
