About the training provider
North London Teaching Alliance is a partnership between Ashmole Academy and Heartlands High School (partner schools Christ's College Finchley, East Barnet School, Ashmole Primary, Eversley Primary School, Osidge Primary, Our Lady of Lourdes primary school). We are an expanding partnership of both primary and secondary schools who have a shared ethos and drive for success.
We offer the salaried employment based route and the tuition fee option and will be developing an apprenticeship route this year.
School Direct trainees are provided with comprehensive support and training as they begin their teaching careers. You will be supported by a team of experienced teachers who will be responsible for your induction and training throughout your course. Weekly meetings with your Subject Mentor will develop your subject and pedagogical knowledge which will be further refined by regular lesson observations and guidance.
Every week you will meet with the Professional Co-ordinating Mentor and other trainees within the partnership to focus on wider aspects of teaching and classroom practice. In addition, the partnership has a range of experienced Lead Practitioners who can provide guidance on specific areas of teaching and learning.
The partnership is committed to the ongoing development of all staff and as a trainee with us you will take part in regular whole school training days.
During your training you will be allocated to two schools in the partnership to ensure you develop skills applicable to a range of settings.
Training with disabilities and other needs
The partnership is committed to admitting and supporting trainees with disabilities. The partnership and its educational providers ensures support for all trainees with a range of conditions.
Every person is treated as an individual and the partnership invites you to contact them as early as possible so that they consider your needs and tailor support to meet them.
