Join our one year programme, during which you will gain the skills to become a knowledgeable, creative and effective teacher, ready to embark on a rewarding career. High quality training is school-focused, and challenges entrants to the teaching profession to develop a personal pedagogy which reinforces high academic standards, lifelong learning, enjoyment, resilience and creativity…
After successfully completing your training, you will be awarded a PGCE with QTS and the possibility of taking up a teaching post within our alliance of schools. Our HEART teachers become part of a network where Continuing Professional Development & Formation matters.

What is the Sacred Heart Alliance?
A partnership of schools, mainly from Bolton and the surrounding areas. Working in partnership with the University of Cumbria, we offer an innovative and supportive programme of training. This includes placements in three excellent yet contrasting schools.
