About the course
The Tuition fee programme will include 2 placements with the first one from September to December in a Secondary school teaching your specialist subject to Key Stage 3 pupils. This is then followed by a contrasting placement in a primary school teaching general primary to pupils in the year 3 to 6 age range.
For this programme you would be eligible for the Secondary tax-free bursary rates for your specialist subject.
This programme leads to Qualified Teacher Status with a PGCE.
Within your personal statement on UCAS, please make it clear which specialist subject you wish to be considered for.
How school placements work
School placements will take place in selected primary schools and secondary schools in Bromley.
September - December in Secondary up to age 14 (year 9) - you will teach in the secondary subject you are focusing on. During this time you will have 2 formal assessments and gather evidence to show you are confident and competent to teach this subject.
January - July in a primary school. At this placement trainees will concentrate on teaching the age range of 7 -11 years. Please contact Bromley Schools' Collegiate for more information.
The course fees for 2019/2020 are as follows:
Candidates must have a good Degree with a minimum of 2:2 classification (or equivalent)
- Maths, English, Science at GCSE C /L4
- Pass both Literacy and Numeracy Professional Skills tests, before the start of the course.

We do not require candidates to have school / classroom experience before making an application.
