About the training provider

Future Stars Teaching School Alliance (FSTSA) is led by Queensbridge an 'Outstanding' primary school with a fantastic record of training high calibre students. As a National Teaching School our Head Teacher, Sarah Bailey OBE, is a National Leader of Education. We have a vibrant curriculum and our Specialist Leaders of Education offer expertise in Reading, Restorative Justice/Early Years/Modern Foreign Languages/Computing Drama/Science and Art.

FSTSA consists of a network of likeminded schools; Our partner universities hold longstanding global reputations for excellence: with UCL/IOE we offer a salaried primary QTS route and with Goldsmiths University we offer a primary salaried QTS and PGCE option. FSTSA offers students a blend of school-based experience and university learning ensuring breadth of experience and exposure to a wide range of teaching practices. Students are based in class alongside an experienced teacher. Many of our teachers began as school direct students themselves, so they offer a wealth of experience.

All of our students benefit from a strong network that supports quick progress in becoming outstanding practitioners. At school, an experienced school-based mentor will offer practical advice, regular meetings, observation opportunities, and a listening ear when needed. Students also have a university tutor who will visit at regular intervals throughout the year to support their progress.

Friday is a study day for students, either at University or at our student HUB which provides excellent opportunities to meet other students and the chance to benefit from the expertise of Specialist Leaders of Education across our Teaching School Alliance.
