PGCE with QTS
A postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE) with qualified teacher status (QTS) allows you to teach in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It’s also recognised internationally.
Many PGCE courses include credits that count toward a Master’s degree.

About the course
This will be a tuition course running between the host school and University of Sussex.
How school placements work
there are two school placements. The main one at the host school until February half term, then the second school placement is 6 weeks at a partner school.

About the training provider
The Warwick Partnership is a group of 6 schools/colleges in South East Surrey working in collaboration with the universities of Sussex and Brighton to provide high quality teacher Initial Teacher Training in a range of subjects and across a number of phases in education from primary right through to sixth form and post 16 education.
As the Lead School, we have a very sucessful and long-standing tradition of working with these schools and universities and have been fortunate enough to offer permanent employment to many of our school direct trainees over some 7 years.
The model for training that we follow will primarily focus on training in the classroom as well as having regular focused training days delivered by outstanding practitioners. We believe it is important to be in an innovative environment where you are supportred and challenged to reach your potential. We believe this will give a rich and varied experienceto prepare you for a highly sucessful teaching career.

The University of Sussex have been judged outstanding for their Primary Initial Teacher Training courses and 'good' for Secondary.
